fork seals

In a previous post about fork seals someone said they would post instruction.  I looked but have not found any.  If someone would post these instructions or tell me where to find them I would greatly appreciate it.  I have the parts and would like to replace the seals on my K8 over Christmas.  Simple instructions please, I am a poor mechanic at best.  Thanks, J.E.B.

Hi Jeb,

Fork seal changes are not that hard to do if you take your time and do it properly. If your mechanical prowess is limited, I have to suggest you buy a Clymer/haynes manual if you don't already have one. They include step by step instructions with photos.

The manuals are not expensive, and the money you save just by doing yourself the fork seals alone will pay for the manual.

Good Luck

Here is a previous post explaining removal (in very limited detail) with a diagram of the fork. I strongly suggest the manual though Jeb!

Hello Jeb,

You can't go wrong here; a great page with plenty of photos and good step by step instructions, this is the link below.  Good luck, it's really not hard ;) ;)
