New super eliminator class record.
« on: May 09, 2017, 06:33:49 am »
I received my certificate in the mail yesterday from Bill Baxter. I  lowered my ET record in super eliminator and was able to recapture the mph record also at the first Man Cup race. I'm sure my friend Bill Benton will have a response to this at the Memphis race😎

How about give us a teaser of what you're working on or do we need to pass security clearance to receive that information?? Lol

Working on automatics with lots of mods and it's the first time I have ever worked on an auto, so we'll see? ??? ??? ???

Actually working on 2 - a "starter", to prove out some concepts, and a "finisher", to hopefully get the job done.  ;)

Jerry, that was a lot more information than I expected to get from Keith. I'll be watching out for the guys in the black trench coats to come get me tonight. Lol.

Protecting design secrets is stock in trade😁. We're not mad at you, we just want to see a fast Honda go down the track. We all benefit in the end.

Keith's,  well I forgot, I'm sworn to secrecy! Lol. Hope Dr. has good news or no riding in Memphis....Frank, you got a 327, me a little D grind.....hehe.

Yeah Bill, I got  a bigger cam with lower compression. F2 head, k model pistons 😞. Maybe one day I'll be set up like you with matching parts👀. Til then, mix and match will have to do. It's a bracket bike so I'm okay for now.

Me and the bike have history Bill. I'm fortunate to have built it from the ground up the right way and its still giving me good results after 20 years.

BILL: Have your high dollar pistons notched for clearance and put the big cam back in your motor. Valves will be happy and no more motor explosions and no more oil all over you and the bike, that could have been a bad fatal day at the track. Franks chips maker [ Machinist] could do that job in a flash, I would think he might have a piston fixture to do the cutting on his mill ?

POP'S, that would work.  Just not time with hand injury, regular work, etc. But don't count me out yet, I can still answer the bell.....just bloodied and bruised right now. Hand therapy tomorrow, thanks,  Bill

Bill, if the members on this forum have ever learned anything about you, the first thing we can all agree on is in the end, you always come through.  Hoping for the best in your recovery. Thankful things weren't any worse for you and your best friend.

Pops, you really should try to make Memphis. Shine and the Teasleys will take care of you.
