Good on Rossi/Yamaha

Kudo's to Yamaha Motor Co. and to Valentino Rossi for giving back to the sport that's been good for him. You can have a read below but in a nutshell they offer a small group of up & coming racers from around the world the opportunity to hone their skills at the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp with (arguably) some of the best in the biz.

This third session, now underway includes Tomas Casas, a 17 yr old Canadian kid. I know Tomas and am absolutely thrilled for him. He races in the national Canadian roadrace series but last year also had a sponsored ride with us in our VRRA vintage series. He was always around our pit last year because he & my son race the same class and had some really tight battles. Tomas liked the vintage racing for this saying it's rare to have race long duels in modern superbike racing.

Fingers crossed this opens up new doors for this awesome young man.

the VR academy is giving good results, with Morbidelli in moto2 above all, so "teaching methods" must be good...
As i just took a flat track school, i can defientely see how learning to slide properly can help you on track.
highly recommend the experience, just not wiht a SOHC4 :)
not all good though, now that i am smitten, i am busy thinking of building a proper Flat Track bike to train with....

Agreed! Morbidelli has a bright future ahead of him....kid is fast.
