S.E. Michigan Machine shops
« on: May 12, 2017, 01:51:13 PM »

Well it looks like I'll be ordering new pistons, and I'm going to need my jugs bored.
Nothing radical, I'm thinking just a minor oversize.

Any recommendations on places that do good work of this sort in S.E. Michigan (Metro Detroit area)

And as always thanks for all the help and insight folks.

Hey magnum,
Glad to see you are back at it, but if you want to ride with a Godzilla this year you will have to go to a Colorado.

In a recent thread Mr Clutch found his way to Stoney Creek Motorsports in Belleville. You could PM him and see how he made out.

Hi and thanks Kevin, I'll check into those guys when get the parts together.

Well there is no way I'd try a run to Colorado, even if I could get the time off ... Lol.

Might be nice to get the mitten folks together sometime though.  That was a fun time.

Thanks again.

If you are going to bore, might as well go 836!  Have you seen the budget piston kits from Japan on eBay?

BTW - boring is $50/per hole in these parts....
