1976 CB750 Clutch Questions
« on: May 15, 2017, 03:53:30 PM »
Hello - I am new to the forum, great insight to many questions.

I have assembled the clutch on a 1976 CB750. Without attaching the clutch cable I was not able to move the leaver that the cable pulls at all. And yes, I did break the clutch lifter place in the process. Anyhow, I have realized that I have followed the instructions for a 1973 and apparently the amount of clutch discs varies. I would have used 1 slightly larger friction disc, 6 friction discs and 6 clutch plates.

Now, based on the fiche discription there should be 1, 6 and 5. Eventhough the diagram shows 1, 6 and 6. What is the right amount? Could an additional disc cause for the leaver to being able to push in?

Thanks!
