SOHC riders from New Brunswick
« on: December 16, 2006, 06:59:47 AM »
Hey everyone,

I was wondering how many SOHC riders are from New Brunswick? I live in Fredericton and I ride a 73 CB750K.

Hey Nick13,

I currently live just outside Halifax, that`s close enough.

I`m originally form Moncton, so I think I count.  I ride down to Moncton to visit my parents as much as I can.

I ride a 1972 CB500 Four, owned it since 1992.

Welcome!

I'm an hours drive up river, Hartland.  I'm hoping to have the 550 back together and on the road by the end of March. :-\

I just bought a Tracy 75 750 from a guy in Hartland, NB.  He bought out an old bike shop and has tons of stuff.
I know he has a few cb350s to sell that are not on Ebay yet and may have other Honda stuff. Looks like he's into Kawis mostly, but you might want to contact him.

Here are his ebay listings http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZoceansj

Here is his email address.   bblaney@nbnet.nb.ca    (Barry Blanney is his name.)

He is a very nice guy, couldn't have been more helpful in the purchase and he's crating my bike and a spare motors and taking it all to the freight company for me ;D

Thanks seaweb

I'll have to drop him a line, looking for a little bike for the wife.

The guy is a true gentleman to deal with. He has set me some photos of some of the bikes he sold recently and they seem to be in good shape. Didn't see the 350s though......probably a good thing ;D

You asked for it...... ;D ;D ;D

He replied to an e-mail I sent him.

"In the deal on the old shop I got 3 CB350 4 cyl.  Two are complete and one has the engine removed.  Right now I have the registration for the one that has the engine removed.  It also has a NOS seat on it.  The fellow that owned the shop was going to fix them up for himselfl but did not get around to it.  There is also a 400 frame and engine that is stuck.  I also got two NOS exhaust systems for these 350s.  Here are some not very good pictures of them.   Keep in mind they have been stored in an old school for the last 20+ years. "

I have got to get to his place to look at his stock soon.

Hey Guys,

I was out for my first ride here in Halifax on Friday.  The weather was awesome, about 15C, and stayed that way until early evening.  :P

As soon as I arrived from work, I put the battery in, bit of air in the tires, checked the bike over and off I went around 5pm.

By the time I got back home around 7pm, it was still 12C.

Bike ran perfectly. ;D

Today, Saturday, they're calling for about 4C but I think it's gonna get warmer than that.  I might be out again today.

Lucky you, I'm still waiting on parts.  It's nice up here today, itching to get Surly on the road.

Hello from Sackville, NB.  I just came across this site recently and since I am putting a 77 cb750 back together I figured I should start poking my head in here in case I need some advice.  Loks like lots of info on here so far.

We'll need to grab a ride together sometime this summer, unless Surely gets real upset and doesn't want to run.

Good Morning,

I am new to New Brunswick (since Jan), I am in Oromocto, just outside of Fredericton, I ride a 1973 CB750K. Heading to the Wharf Rats Rally this afternoon in Digby, NS, with the young lad. I hope there will be a few nice SOHC's there to gawk at. Hope to see some of you at the ride.

Hey there, I'm new to the forum as well. From Fredericton area, currently working on a 77 cb750f cafe project. This has been a great source of info so far!
Good to see other Maritimers on here.

Cheers

Hi everyone, new member here, from Shediac. I just bought a '72 CB750 last week (picking it up this weekend). It's a Candy Gold K2 which I purchased from a gentleman in Fredericton; it has 19k miles and hasn't been on the road since '92. I look forward to getting it back in action soon. I currently have an '81 CB125S (which is now for sale if anyone is so inclined...). Edit: The 125 is sold.
