Anyone do a GSXR CBR or F1 Chopper?
« on: May 21, 2017, 06:53:46 AM »
So about a few weeks back I saw an old school looking chopper with a GSXR 1000 in it it with a GSXR front end and the thing looked awesome!

Wondering if anyone else has done or seen anything like this.

Saw a cool old Honda Chopper frame hard tail from back in the day and thought man that would be great with 130 hp sport bike motor.  Frank and others might not be too happy with the surgery that would take place, but the cool factor would be off the charts.

It's not a bad idea. Plus, you can get 80s and 90s sport bikes super cheap these days.

I dont much care what you want to build.. As long as you stay away from hacking the classic bits on the 72 and earlier 750,s.    And good for a runner stock paint parts up to 76..
I like modified bikes, built scads of parts for them, enjoy it..

Here is the picture of the frame I am considering.  Wondering if a sport bike engine would fit in there.  It comes as part of a lot of 4 bikes, engines and frames.  Not super excited about buying the whole mess.  The owner says the hill climber had work done by RC, golden rods, ported head by Jerry Branch of flowmetrics and 1080 cylinders.

the chopper frame I dont know what brand, has fatbob mounts on it.
If you get them , check the hillcimber for bored carbs.

That's some home brew swing arm extension there. The chopper frame looks legit.

I'm interested to see what engine you use. Keeping with the inline 4? It would be cool to find a vmax or an rc51 engine.
