cam chain question cl175
« on: December 20, 2006, 11:08:11 AM »
I had the crank on the T mark and I had the cam with the little O pointing up and I installed the cam chain.  After I put the connecting link in I unscrewed the the plunger on the tensioner to let it take up the slack. When I put a wrench on the crank and turned it, there was still a little slack in the chain on the other side. So the crank started turning but the cam didn't for a second or two which put it out of time. I can't take another link out of the chain because then it will be to short. What am I doing wrong?
thanks again,
Nathan

If you can handle a 26 meg e-mail, I have the god's honest, official 1971 CL175 Honda shop manual...

...and check your e-mail for the cam chain specific page...
