« on: May 23, 2017, 11:05:40 AM »
I have a CR750 and it has stripped the teeth off the starter ring three times, it has been correctly fitted and checked for alignment
, any ideas what it could be?

Check that the intermediate gear is the right pitch, AND diameter..

Do you mean the large gear concentric to and behind the alternator rotor? A member had an intermediate gear break some teeth off a while back, which was caused by a very worn starter bushing at the pinion end of the starter.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
