This is just a private collection, it's not open to the public but Leroy doesn't mind entertaining guests. Like I said earlier, if anyone wants to see the collection just get ahold of me and I will take you there. I'm glad you got the S2 Stevo, I was curious. I still haven't got the pictures of the 450 but when he sends them I will post them.

He has been assembling the collection for 7 years. Not long ago I was there and a fellow he was showing the bikes to asked that question and then followed it with "how does anyone collect this many bikes in only 7 years?" and Leroy answered: "spend $700,000 a year on bikes."  Anyway, here is some pictures of his Honda CB450 Four and one of his newest, a 1956 Yamaha YC-1, it's beautiful.

It's fun knowing Leroy, he is a great person and a motorcycle crazy man. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the bikes, I learn something every time I go there. I have restored five bikes for him and I feel privileged to be able to restore and ride a lot of very cool old superbikes and it's great fun too.

The tins were painted by his painter in Arizona, he does real nice work.

  Mitzel is a big name around the VJMC circuit. Wins a lot of awards,especially with those nice early Yamaha 650's. A friend of mine here in the Kalamazoo/Southwest Michigan who does great restorations on Jap bikes has made friends with him out on the circuit and was actually offered a job to move out to ND to work for him on bikes.  Being retired from a really great job and happily settled into his nice home and shops he graciously declined.  That stuff is top notch.

I do appreciate the care and the beauty of that collection. However, it makes me sad that they're not being ridden. It's akin to hanging musical instruments on the wall - that's not what they were made for.

Fantastic work though - I don't mean to discount that.

Got the S2 last Friday, it's a little rough but I'll do it justice.  It's way back on the burner, prolly won't touch it this year, must get the H2 on the road first.  Thanks again...

He has nobody to take care of the collection and do easy mechanic work. I try to fix whatever I have time for when I see him. Somebody could move to Mandan and have the best job in the world and get paid very well. He will have about 16 bikes in Minneapolis in June at the VJMC show. One of them is the 1975 Kawasaki S1C 250 I restored for him.

I'd call that a resto haha. Amazing collection, will have to see it someday. Just recently went from one to three CBs but the itch is only growing. One hell of a disease.

Yes the cbx 1000 6 cylinder. And it's brand new never been serviced. That's very rare and it's a gold mine.

The highest price cb750 sold for over $250k it was sold on eBay. It was one of the first 4 ever made it was blue in color. It just sold about 3 years ago. The bidding got wild lol
