Cb550 clutch perch
« on: June 30, 2018, 10:03:19 AM »
I've been having trouble getting my cb550 clutch to fully disengage.  New cable, new plates, new fiber, actually did the shim procedure, and I have the clutch arm screw adjusted all the way clockwise

I'm thinking maybe my after market perch doesn't pull enough, it only pulls the clutch arm about 1/2".  Anyone know what the factory one does?

I measured a factory clutch as 0.650" of pull.  After I bent my after market one a bit I got it up to 0.490".

Any one know if that's enough to cause a problem?  Seems like it to me...
