I rebuilt mine:

Can anyone tell which one is the new seal?

I reused the mounting posts for the front plate by leaving as much of the nubs as possible:

Voila'! (as opposed to "viola'" which everyone knows is a musical instrument)

Good for another 40 years! Good thing too, since this can only probably be done once, which is okay... because 40 years from now I won't care!
I don't remember the part number for the valve seal (with four holes) but I might have one in the bag that I can get a part number off of this evening. The seal/gasket inside the nut is included with the new in-tank filter when ordered from Honda. I recommend replacing this in-tank filter. Make sure the old one is removed first since they tend to remain in place when the fuel valve is removed. Looking from the bottom of the tank it will look like a round plastic insert inside of the fuel valve bung on the bottom of the tank. You can also look for the filter screen by shining a flashlight inside the fuel tank (
don't use a lighter!) towards the bung. They typically get overlooked and I have removed numerous later model in-tank filters that looked like they were original from they factory. They can be stubborn to remove when left in place for that long and I usually pry the side of the filter inwards from below then grab it with a pair of needle nose pliers and twist/pull.
