If costs are a concern, a race motor can be rabbit hole of spending on high performance parts. To really take advantage of a high compression over-bore piston kit, you'll want a cam and a ported head.
This is the Engine going in the bike, just with the high compression pistons.

Dyna Ignition with wiring harness, kill switch and tach. “F” gearbox. Crank has been lightened, Carrillo rods, balanced. DOHC cb750F pistons (new valve pockets by Rick Andrews). Lots of head work, Megacycle cam (“Kenny Harmond F grind”), Black Diamond valves and springs, note the cam box hold down system.
