The goal for this bike was always to compete. I was hoping to find a SCTA class that it would fit into. I have some great direction from a few that I consider legends. However it’s just outclassed by all the newer technology, unless I go completely crazy and build a 900+, I want a speed record!

So at this point the bike will be completed to SCTA safety standards, and hopefully it fits somewhere.

Money, money, money!

Got the final bits for my fuel tank ordered. Also a front fender, the pic is stainless but I’m having them make it in aluminum.

Next I need to shell out big bucks for sun rims, with Avon AM22, and AM23.

This is my tire and wheel plan, anyone see any problems?

Rear, Avon AM23 in 130/70VB18. This will be on a SUN WM6 (3.50) x 18" aluminum rim.

Front, Avon AM22 in 110/80VB18. This will be on a SUN WM4.5 (2.75) x 18" aluminum rim.

I'm running that size rear rim on my Tracy, with a Avon 130/80 AM 26 Roadrider
You can see pics in the vote for the bike of the month

If you're running stock swing arm will probably have to modify brake stabilizer bar and custom or no chain guard, but I like the way it looks.

I'm running a 2.15 x 19 on the front with a 100/90 x 19, if I had to do it all over again I'd do what you're doing and go to 18 on the front, just because it gives you a lot more options for tires 😀

Thanks for the info hondaron, I was unsure of the rear fitment. Looked good on paper, but you know how that goes.

When I disassembled the bike originally I had all of the little miscellaneous parts. Somehow one of the guys at my shop allowed the metal guy to take my box. So all of the small pieces, including my carburetors I lost. It’s been a pain, and a small fortune requiring those parts.

Things are now starting to role in, rear brake pivot and spring. Now I can finish the rear set mock up!

I cut the rod to length and installed. The hardware will change, still mocking everything up. Really getting exited, it’s starting to look like a bike.

It definitely could, but my worry was exhaust interference. My pipe will exit just under that peg.

This oil tank is definitely the bikes crown jewel.

I don’t have any proven history, but I’m told it’s a factory Rickman racing tank. The engineering and craftsmanship is amazing, so I see no reason to doubt that!

Can’t wait to get it installed!
