That looks like it's going to be amazing. What's with the periscope sticking out of the top of the tank?

First off lost boy has been my nickname since I was six. I'm 33, how old are you haha. The tank is modeled after the CR750 Tank. I say modeled because it's not a perfect replica. The periscope lol is the vent, it's just too damn big. I'm thinking about cutting it off, but I'm going to run the tank raw and I can't weld aluminum.

So I guess I have a build thread. The bike started out as a 78 750k. It was my daily rider until I had a bad accident. That's when I decided to build the bike I've had in my head since I was a teenager. I've always liked old race bikes, CR's in particular. So for me the idea of a CR750 cafe is my dream bike. This is that journey!

The bike was pretty bad after the accident. Front fork destroyed, Frame was cracked. I acquired a new frame and got started.

Thanks, the plan is a bike with as little paint as possible. Everything that can be raw aluminum will be.

I want to keep the triangle open, so I'm thinking a Cognito Moto style oil tank just made out of aluminum. I also need to find a headlight in aluminum.

The roller looks good.  You will definitely want to move those clip-ons upward to right underneath the top triple tree.  Otherwise, you will not enjoy the riding position no matter how young and limber you are!   ;)

Well it’s been a wile lol. Let’s just say life took me for a wild ride. I tried selling the bike, she wouldn’t leave, so it just sat for 3 years. This quarantine bull#$%* has had me reevaluating my goals. This bike is still one of them. I know I left some people hanging, you have my apology.

I’ve made a bit of progress!
