Cheaper to replace a 12.00 grease gun, than have to buy an Mc kit..
Oh wait, the grease gun hasnt broke.

I have lost sales due to removing stuck pistons to find out they are bad....better though than selling a shipoing one that they have trouble getting apart, only to find out its not useable..
But that was just part of the service I provide.

Then there is the sensual elation of writhing about in grease, not to be confused with Greece.  Which is a quite different experience.  Who doesn't enjoy a good mud wrestling bout, eh?  Even a mini encounter is so ... Ooo....ahh slippery.  Got to be womanly bits in here somewhere nostalgia.  And then in the afterglow, there is the heady, intoxicating aromas of cleaning solvents AND grease while visiting the disposal pit.  Ahh good times.

Posted for your humorous enjoyment.
Cheers,
Lloyd, you have a sick mind.. ::)

personally would much rather writhe about in grease than brake fluid...so don't try to tell me there is anything "neat" or "clean" about brake fluid splashing all over the place.  Brake fluid gives me the creeps and the less I have to touch it, the happier I am.
If it works good, it looks good...

Lessons learned thus far:
1. A stock 14mm master cylinder is capable of producing well in excess of 300 PSI, whether filled with water or brake fluid.
2. A grease gun can produce even greater pressures, and in the case of rear MCs, may be the only method that will allow the piston to be forced out, due to the much higher viscosity of the grease when compared to brake fluid or water; the passage to the reservoir allows thin fluids to bleed off pressure faster than the MC lever can be pulled. (Hopefully Lloyd won't read anything sexual into that. ;))

Actually, I'm just happy there are people fixing their own brakes, whatever method they are enamored with using.

I like the compressed air removal method, a little excitement for a dull day!

Me too Steve, but then I thought about just hooking up my 5000 psi pressure washer and (just like JFK) thought, "Why the fcuk not?" all that pressure, and no messy grease or dangerous brake fluid to worry about............ ;D

Will the 5000 pSi turn off as fast as the grease gun?
If not you may wear it

I think a grease gun video should be made..  All 15 seconds of the operation start to finish, except cleaning it up... That may explain it better than three pages..

Yep, 15 seconds to unstick the piston, then the rest of the day to clean up the grease........ I'll stick with my shiny new pressure washer, 5000 psi will pop that piston out and clean everything afterwards! ;D

FTFY Terry..yeah I would rather spend 20 minutes saving the paint on a nearby vehicle, wiping the ceiling, my hair , my clothes, the wall and bench...... Because there is no way I am going to handle a piston size blob of grease, not spend only 1 to 4 minutes cleaning up grease....
Because I am the MAN..I do it my way..

I totally understand..yep... If here is brake fluid still in there..it comes out in one lump by tipping over the refuse tin..
,but hey I understand...
