Topic: Paint codes? For 67 cl90 scrambler gas tank?

I am writing the to hopefully find somebody that might no the paint code for the gas tank I have been trying to research myself with no luck any help would be greatly appreciated

Paint codes, as defined today imply a formula that says what percentage of what colors are mixed to produce a particular color. These codes are used universally by practically anyone to reproduce a color.
     Honda did not make paint codes in this manner. It was just a code for their color, at least not until the 80's....so r-2c-c is a honda paint code for candy tone orange but that code is not a formula.
    So, you need the Honda tank colors. Google your model, or vintage Honda motorcycle paints, parts book, etc....there are companies that reproduce those Honda paints......I know one source, call BOB's Indians in etters,pa.   He can tell you what a 67 cl90 had for tank colors...I'm sure others on here can also...

Awesome thanks for the insight. I googled a lot and best I could get was a color from 79-85 rx-7 sunbeam silver other than that no luck to be honest.. I'll def look into the info you gave me and do some more digging.. But its not as easy at is may seem as I am quite knowledgeable when comes to doing my research that's why I posted on here hoping someone else has had same problem with some kind of a solution.. Thanks for the reply jlh3rd appreciated
