Mecum Bike auction
« on: May 29, 2017, 05:12:36 PM »
Just FYI, if you get NBCSN, they are doing the Mecum bike auction in Las Vegas right now (8pm EST).  All Honda's so far, but they are talking about a lot of much older vintage stuff coming up.

In the time that I watched, I saw a 78 750F go for $2750, a 76 750K for $6000, and a 75 750K with original pipes for $7500.  In general, anything from the 70's or later was getting around 5K, stuff from the 50's and earlier started at 20K.  Seemed to be a lot of old Indians with sidecars, Triumphs, and Harleys.  Also, surprisingly, a lot of old motocross and enduro bikes, which are apparently a thing now.

That was the Las Vegas Auction from January. If the K5 and K6 CB750s were blue they were the ones I cleaned up for a friend that had 160 bikes in the auction. I posted a while back about how easy it is to mask and paint the engine in the frame because I did that to one of them.
