Wonder if I can use it....
« on: June 07, 2017, 11:31:45 AM »
Here is another mystery part that came in a box with NOS Honda parts and did not have a part-number. I cannot figure out what it is. Thought it was a water pump impeller, but seems not to be. Anybody a better idea?

Impeller for a scooter transmission?

Thanks, Danny!

I think you are on to something.
I checked a few parts lists for scooters, like the SH50 ( the parts collection had some other SH50 parts) and found a part that looks exactly like it. It is called "Drive Face" and is part of the kick-start shaft/mechanism.
Does anybody know what it does? Pump oil?

Maybe an oil pickup.... If it was pumping, I think it would need a keyway...same for kicking.

Thank you! By "variator" you mean the drive ratio "changer"? Sort of like in a CVT transmission (DAF principle)?
