So....just took my new to me 1975 CB400 SUPER SPORT for a ride and I can't wipe this smile off my face. I'm a 48 yr old lover of vintage dirt bikes and decided I need a run around town street bike. What would fill that niche? I found a 1975 CB400 SUPER SPORT here locally and walked home with it. I'm new to this era of Japan streel bikes a d couldn't be happier as of now.
I have a 90' Ktm540dxc and a (sled) 69' Arctic Cat Panther I've restored wit a 82' Ktm495 and a 81 Yz125 waiting on stand by for attention. This bike came with alot of goodies as extras. Owner is deceased from a motorcycle accident on a tricked out Moto Guzzi here in Anchorage Alaska and I will honor him by keeping this bike forever maintaining and riding it.
The sound this little bike emits is mind boggling. .....love it!

Things my untrained knowledge has picked up on.....Don Vesco fairing and tail section (tail section not on bike at this time) , European enclosed chain case Cover and a different rear muffler than stock that sounds way cool even though I have no idea how the oem sounds...

Anything you experts can tell me by the pics would be greatly appreciated as far as what this new to me Swiss clock running machine is.....28000 on the clock and I paid a hundred dollars for each thousand miles.... $2800 dollars. It was purchased here in Anchorage Alaska in 76 and I am the 3rd and last owner.

Original tires and rims, tires were bagged and no checking.

I read there is a cam chain tensioner problem and I found in all the documentation that this was corrected by Honda of Anchorage in 97 when it had 24000 miles, 4000 miles ago...

That bike is gorgeous! I've had a couple CB400fs' and they are incredible bikes, super docile around town but get them up in the power band and they really scream and the small, light bike is super flickable in the turns. Looks like you inherited somebodies baby at a killer price. I absolutely love that fairing. I've got a Rabid Transit fairing from Vesco on one of my bikes and its a great addition. Never seen that smaller one, it looks like a perfect match for the 400. Let's see it with the tail section on! Welcome to the forum, BTW.

nice alu rims... good looking bike..but you vill get smoked by all other bikes.(its a bit slow)..but it are the best looking bike Honda ever made..and easy to ride
