CB77 painting
« on: June 14, 2017, 11:00:24 AM »
I've been working on a 1964 CB77 paint job. I haven't posted anything as the body work needed was small, nothing ugly to repair  :) There were numerous small dents, enough that took a few hours to handle, but no biggie. The pic of primer, is some polyester primer sprayed over the areas that needed body work. I then sprayed epoxy primer on all pieces to block and prepare for paint. The fenders and tail light bracket were painted a stain black. I used a satin clear. The pic was taken before the clear cured to it's satin finish. The rest of the tin will be Jaguar BGR. I think the color will be sprayed tomorrow, so I'll have some pics of that.

I , as a rule, don't give owner info unless the owner wants me to do so. But it is someone from this forum.

Nice rich color.  Some white pin lines perhaps?

Not my call. The owner has a plan in mind I believe. It's a bit of a resto mod.

Here's the finished tank and covers out in the sun. The other 5 pieces are still hanging in the booth. But you can see the color well here. And yes that is a reflection of the clouds in the pieces. Does that make my paint job " cloudy" ?  :)
