Time to change chain tensioners - change rings too?
« on: June 16, 2017, 11:47:38 AM »
I have  a 1971 750 with about 13,000 miles on it. I think it may be time to change the primary and cam chain tensioners. The motor is running strong and not pushing blue. While I have it apart should I put in new rings as well? I have a line on a set of standard size rings for cheap. I think a light clean up of the bores, lap in the valves and button it up would be the drill here.
Thanks,
Cliff.

The primary tension has been DC'd by Honda.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
