I have been looking thru the D. Kirk book for the above item but they dont list one specifically for the 550K models. The ones they have range from 16mm to like 24 mm. Can anyone tell me the correct size. Thanks in advance for any help.

The 'cross' or 'star' 4 way puller has all the sizes you need for multiple bikes, including Honda
use a dead blow hammer on it so you don't damage threads.

Beleive it or not, the back axel has the same size thread as the rotor. when i changed mine, i made a slide hammer out of the axel with a 5 pund weight from the weight bench, it worked great.

i've also always used a rear axle. i have a 350T axle i use for my 550 (it has a bolt-head instead of the round type with a hole through it. no slide hammer necessary. just run it in, and it forces the alternator off of the tapered crank-end. helps to have an impact-wrench.

same as paulages and migman, rear axle wound in, a tap with a hammer on the end of the axle bolt and the rotor dropped free

Thanks guys for all the tips on the puller. What a great idea on the axle.
