Hello from San Antonio
« on: August 24, 2017, 03:38:04 AM »
Hello from south Texas.  Been using this site for quite awhile, but haven't posted much since I almost always find the answer I'm looking for, or at least several opinions.  Anyway, bought an old Triumph Bonneville for a project 5 years ago, but when the wife said will you ever finish that thing so we can ride it, I bought a 1973 cb350.  It was beautiful, the original isis purple I believe.  We didn't go up hills real fast when both were on it, so I bought a 1975 CB750 fairly original condition, about 7k on the odometer.  Really appreciate the site and hope to contribute.  Right now, it's early in the morning and I'm about to load the bike and head to Bonneville Salt Flats for the Bonneville motorcycle speed trials.  The bike set a record last year in the stock classic 750 class.  Lots of CB750s there and met a couple members, oldscrambler and jerryRxman.  Wish me luck.

Welcome aboard! You ready for some rain? Hope the forecasts are wrong and the rain is less than predicted.

Get everything up on blocks before you head out!

Quick followup as requested, it went well in Bonneville.  Raised our own record in production classic class (PPC-750) from 100.7 to 112.2.  I'll post a little more in the performance and racing forum.  Picture of bike in impound prior to the teardown.

Good job. Looking forward to your report. Any other 750's there this year? And how was the surface and weather?
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
