couple of shout-outs
« on: June 23, 2017, 06:48:49 pm »
would like to say thanks to "jim f" a forum member here who has a micro welding company called JMF Precision Welding down in dacula, ga, http://www.jmfmicroweld.com/.  he successfully welded my #4 carb after i broke the seat for the main jet.  it wasn't a clean break but he still did a beautiful job.  thanks jim.

also want to thank tony at http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/ . i have an omp regulator that was malfunctioning.  it came on the new to me bike.  because i had not bought the vreg directly from him he wouldn't replace it for free, which i fully understand.  however, tony said 'mail the part to me with $25 and i'll repair it, ship it back to you at my cost and warranty it for life'.  sweet deal and he always answered my questions promptly.  thanks tony.

Jim rules.... a great man with great skills. I'm lucky enough to have spent personal time with Jim (and on one occasion with our wives).

I've never met Jim in person, but I did have the pleasure of speaking with him on the phone once, several years ago. :)
Sounds like Tony at OMP is also a good guy.

both very stand up guys that helped me out of a jam while not looking to cash in.  i have to also add, on that note, that "hondaman" mark paris did the same.  i contacted mark once i busted that #4 carb and he sent me a blank carb for the price of shipping.  heart of gold he has.  thanks mark.
