Search doesn't work? Looking for tire recommendations
« on: June 26, 2017, 04:04:32 PM »
I am the king of search.  I will read until my eyes bleed before I post up a question.  But no matter what I type in, it comes back as nothing found.

Does anybody have links available for tire recommendations on this site?  Sure would appreciate it.   (I'm running dunlop gt501's right now)  Thanks!

Search is down - if you do a search in another engine followed by SOHC/4 answers from this forum appear.

Avon roadriders. Best tire I've run on my sohc4 bikes.

Okay, thanks, I'll try that google trick.  I'm open to suggestions, but I know this topic has been discussed over and over and over...

Bridgestone BT45 or Spitfires.

Personally I've run both and I prefer the BT45 for longevity.

+1 for spitfires. I've really come to appreciate them.

Smurf girl just ordered AM26 for her little red rocket and the bmw guys have avons too.  Its not the tire that causes them problems 😂

I am a big fan of the Shinkos, they wear very well, handle good, and they are very very inexpensive. I used them on my '77 550K.

I have used the Avons on 2 different bikes, my Royal Enfield 500 and my Yamaha FJ1200. They worked amazing on the RE, but I think the heavy powerful FJ was too much for them.

Just to be different I am fond of the Pirelli MT66's.

I'm sure we could recommend some good oil too.  ;) ;D
