diy rectifier

 I need a rectifier(2 wires) for my Honda S65,i would like to do it instead of buying one.They ask 40-60$ for this little thing!?Anyone got a link on how to do it and where to buy

materials?

think you can use this(12v) its have both diode brigde and stabilicer..it can be faund as 6v too..can be used both as a one vire and 2 vires aut of the stator..have to make a jumper to use it for 1 vire auttake

the 2 diragrams is the 2 vaus to konnekt the same unit..vho is a lowcost one..used on italy and chinese bikes

you can use a 220volt elektric unit too they comes in both 2 and 3 fases..and vork fine on low volt systems..so yes its easy..

here is a good one..can get it as 2 and 3 fase..and costs not a lot..like a cooling plate(..and not shure if it need to be isolated from the frame)

i have the same on my cd 50..its only a half vay diode.so it are not a 2 fase system
.so you onlu get the half sinus kurve..but for a small battery..it just can hold it going 6v 4 amp normaly..a zenor diode can do the same job..they are valued for spec voltage..but im not Expert on them...let us vait for the Experts to ring the door bell

Looks like your old rectifier is a selenium type.

Only has to poles so it is still just a diode.  Passes current in only one direction of flow.

You can replace with a silicon diode.    Your schematic should show what the polarity should be for new diode installation.  Get one that has a 25V or higher withstand.

Do you also have a voltage regulator?

I ask because selenium usually drops near a volt and silicon drops less.

Any electronic stores near you.  Where did you plan a purchasing a replacement diode?

I don't think this bike have a regulator.The other owner told me there was a problem with it,and I rebuild this bike,so why not install a new one!?

Is there any other number I should look when i'll buy a rectifier?
There is 4 pins on the one I see,where do put my wires?

4 pin rectifiers have four diodes inside them.  Usually have labels, two will have  ~  symbol (AC input).  And the other two will have + an - signs.

Your bike have positive or negative Ground?  If you have have a positive ground machine, you'll probably want to pick an AC terminal from the power generator, and a + terminal for the output to battery.

I haven't seen your circuit diagram, so there is some fuzziness about hook up details.

Connect the red wire to the + terminal, and the white wire to either of the AC terminals.
