Manual Labor

Probably superfluous, but having an original manual under the seat is kinda cool to me.

It is cool. but it would serve you better under the seat of your motorcycle over under the seat of your keyboard  ??? Just spit balling...

I know a seat I can stick it in - sideways!   ;)

Make a photocopy of it or scan it and print it if you are concerned about your original owners manual getting wet.  Then you can not worry if it is damaged as it is only a copy.

It is very cool having it as well as the original tool kit.

BTW - the manual came in a plastic "Service Book Bag"....recommended if you dont have one.

OOOOO.  I like that.  Also have my eye on the original dealer brochure.  I have most of the seat tools.  I'm missing a few.

Ran my first tank of non-ethanol gas tonight.  Okay, is it my imagination or did it run a little smoother, quieter and have a little more power?  Not a lot, just enough to imagine it.  ??

Keep it under the seat in a ziplock bag. No worries.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

That's awesome. I want to find one too, as well as the original tool kit. Anyone know if the reproduction tool kits are good/actually worth buying? (I know, not as cool as an original of course but for usefulness it might be good to have)

All owners of a genuine Owner's Manual are kindly requested to scan it and upload to Honda4fun.com. You may check first if your edition is already there. Honda4fun has by far the biggest collection of useful documents that are consulted every day by SOHC4 owners the world over and we would love to complete the collection. Don't think, there are so many there already, what difference does mine make? Every time I see minor differences between the manuals like prescribed quantity of fork oil whenever the frontlegs were modified. Happened a lot. If we all cooperate, we'll have a wonderful collection at everyone's disposal. Send yours to: tums@honda4fun.com and he'll upload it. He is a pleasant guy, did enormous work and btw speaks English fluidly. You may have to use wetransfer which works wonderful. Immortalize yours. Many thanks.

I once knew a 550 Nighthawk with a terrible, totally random, midrange misfire
that no one could fix. It would kill the engine. Lots of wild a## guesses and wasted time. During a routine battery service, the owner discovered his owner's manual, improperly stowed in a weird open position, in close proximity to the intake. Open to the first page or so, the loose "flapping"pages would get sucked in by engine vacuum when acceleration was just right. Sorry for the highjack, that one stuck with me ???

It will make the bike fire a bit better. Having your oil topped off too makes things a tad more quiet. The extra oomph you're feeling is also contributed to by you riding in higher rev ranges. Coming from your Harley, you'll slowly adapt to how this little beauty needs to be managed to extract its best behavior.

And they really are great little bikes, especially for popping around suburbia and summer evening milk runs.

First trip beyond seeing if it would run reliably was a beer run.  (Wife - "really?  That's why you wanted a second bike?")  When I golfed, I always wondered if it was really about drinking beer for 4 hours.

Bought on CL for $20 some small horse/pony saddlebags.  A 12 pack fits perfect in them!
