CB650 accelerator pump clearance
« on: June 04, 2005, 03:07:21 PM »
I have searched high and low for this and have found several threads asking the same question, but no answer. Hence, here we go again:

I'm doing a tune-up on my '81 CB650 with CV-carbs following my Clymer manual. In the part Accelerator Pump Adjustment it says "Measure the distance between the accelerator pump rod and the adjusting arm" and then "Refer to Table 1 for correct clearance". The problem is that Table 1 doesn't mention this at all.

So, anyone know or have another manual than Clymer that could check the correct clearance?

For CV carb 1981 CB650(C):
The clearance between the accelerator pump rod and the adjusting arm is 0.00-0.04 mm (0.0000-0.0016 in).
Throttle valve is closed.
