Re-use 750 rod bolts?
« on: July 14, 2017, 04:55:28 PM »
Doing research and read that rod bolts should be replaced, not re used, in high
performance applications. Is this absolutely necessary for a stock motor?
If it's necessary to replace them, are there any preferred sources for them?
I know the factory f2 numbers 13213-k0-000 (bolt) and 13214-410-003 (nut).
Any good aftermarket ones?

Most poeple don't replace but if you don't know your engine it could be a wise decision. Get F2/F3 bolts if you do replace. Aftermarket, yes, they come with new rods attached.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Thanks Jerry. Appreciate the information, Think I'll hold off on the ones
that come with new rods attached ;D F2/3 sound like good insurance.
