OEM Main Jets
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:07:44 AM »
I understand everyone highly recommends jetsrus.com but I currently have an order out with another parts dealer and figured I might as well save on shipping. the Original OEM parts # is considered obsolete, but when checking out on jetsrus they provide the Keihin parts number of 99101-393 which a quick google search brings back http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-99101-393-1100.html that is used on the 2001 250s and 750s. Is it possible that these are the same exact jets used on the K4 657A 750s?

I don't see why not. It's just a piece of brass with a hole in the middle. There is no good reason why the same jets wouldn't have been shared across multiple bikes.

Yes, Keihin used the same style main jet in many different carbs.

Great! With them being that cheap I think I'm just going to order 105, 110, 115, 120, & 125. Is there ever any reason to order the 118/223? or would needle adjustments compensate for the half steps?

I get they are cheap, but I recommend telling us what you have done to your bike and let the experienced guys give you the benefit of that experience to narrow down the range of jets to get.

Currently it's a F3 engine in a K4 with 657A carbs.

It has a K&N in the stock filter and a 4 into 2 (looks stock to me)

I already know I need to get 105/110 to get it running good first

Eventually I want to upgrade the exhaust to a 4 into 1 and maybe get velocity stocks.

So instead of putting multiple orders I figured I'd just order them now and save on shipping.

From reading else where on these forums with consideration of the upgrades it seems like it's going to be around 120/125?

But if it's possibly different/higher it's cheaper for me to add in 123 and 130s now than have to pay for shipping to my area again

Yes, me. The idea was good. For 500/550's the Colortune is useless and I don't think results will be any better with the other Fours.
This is what I posted before. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=45780.msg479406#msg479406

Ah thanks, I also found it odd that the site touted a 12mm but there were non for sale just adapters... kind of sleezy
