A lot of my local friends like to jam as well as turn a wrench. I have come out of retirement of 5 years. I've been doing weekends in bars for almost 30 years before that. Mostly on bass/vocals, but like to write some music also on guitar/bass/vocals/drums. I've written rock, country, alternative, mellow acoustic. I've been playing in Alex Bay NY on Sat nights as a solo guy 5 to 9. I sing and play guitar and have a keyboard with a drum machine I use for beats. It's gone well so far. I even do a few originals and no one seems to mind. Here is one of my mellow acoustic songs.

If you have any songs or recorded jams, put a link up here, I'd like to listen. Here is one I did, some nice Strat/rock work I did a while back. I wrote/recorded the music and a friend came over and sang over top of it. Some bike riding also later in the video. I had the camera hanging on my neck.

Bass player here, for over 20 yrs. Play locally in Las Vegas, a mix of covers and originals. Love all music!

Nice! I also love the bass. Spent many a night playing in bars around here. I also do covers and originals. Lately I have been
doing a few solos hows with just vocal/guitar to my Yamaha drum machine built into my keyboard. I set the tempo and style,
hit an accent when I can, intro or outre and sing along. Anything from classic rock, classic country, originals,mostly 60's through 90's
not much after 2000.I play a mexi Fender Strat, Epi Les Paul custom and a Sheraton 2 straight through a korg 1500ax onto a Behringer powered mixer. What is your favorite gear?

My favorite/go to gear is my Ernie Ball bass, and my '57 reissue (1982) Fender P-bass. I play through an Ampeg SVT-4 pro head with Ampeg cabinet. I did buy a Epi Les Paul to mess around with, but I'm no good at guitar.

Nice gear Dave, I have Squier Affinity bass I like a lot. Cheap but still a good bass.! Fez, sounds great man."It Don't Come Easy". Nice!

My instructor convinced me to stop programming bass and learn to play a little. So glad I did. Fun. And I get to a good sound faster. I'm not the best bass player and use a pick a lot, but that's okay by me. I got an Affinity cheapo too at a pawn shop but then had it professionally setup. So while not a fan of Affinity series guitars, the bass is a nice little player.

Another bass player here. I have been playing bass in a 60's rock covers band for about ten years. I was/am a guitarist but found everyone wants to be a lead guitarist, so when I was asked to play bass I thought I'd give it a try instead and it turns out that I love it, I started playing on a borrowed squire plugged straight into the PA, but now have a Gibson LesPaul money bass and a 300watt Ashdown head with two 15' speaker cabs. I had a Musicman Stingray 5 too for a while but because it had developed an occasional electrical glitch I ended up selling it to pay for the paint job on my CB500 project. Although I don't really need a five string bass for 60's music, I have been really missing that low B ever since

And I do own a vintage Fender Musicmaster bass that I pluck around on.

Bass, Banjo, Lap Dulcimer - oddly not a bluegrass player. My wife plays guitar and accordion. We have a band that plays Irish Pub music for money and an original band which - well, we record a lot. I also play upright in a '30's Parlour Jazz trio.
Musicians are good people.

Just learned "Pleasant Valley Sunday" was written by Carole King and Gary Goffin (Mr. Carole King). I like the Ringo songs, too. My grandkids will tolerate me playing Yellow Submarine... for a little while.

My bride bought me a nice Taylor 12 for Christmas a couple years back. I use the Garage Band a little bit and was quickly convinced to not quit my day job.

I'm enjoying all of your recordings!

It's just as well Garage Band won't let me post a file here.

I mostly play upright, but I also do electric when the gig requires. From Baroque to Broadway to Bon Jovi, I've played it all.

Main (paying) gig right now is with the Army band. Actually it is my second job.

Just a wannabe, I love the guitar and took lessons but some people are artistic and some are mechanical. I'm the latter, if you're in doubt, record yourself and listen.
I still want a Surf Green or Olympic White 62 jazzmaster though. I played one once and it seemed to fit my hands better than anything else. My preferred venue is the shop with no one else there.
