2nd CB, The first to run!
« on: June 04, 2017, 01:18:09 PM »
So, I picked up a new project a couple weeks ago, and now have all the parts needed to get it on the road.  8)

1977 750K - 12,000 odd miles,
Starts right up and seems to run fine. Carbs leak gas. No headlight or turn signals.
Paint and chrome are nice, the pipes are aftermarket and a little rusty. not a fan of the buckhorn bars, not sure yet if I want apes or drag bars. Would like to put a solo seat on it instead of the hideous thing it has now...

what it needs:
Headlight
signals
Mirrors
Needles and seats (Have those, just waiting for my brother/ mechanic to put them in)
Chain (also have that, just need to put it on)
Different seat
windscreen
sissy bar/luggage rack
different handlebars
Different exaust
And last but not least, an oil change
Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!

Congratulations! Looks like a nice platform to work with. Wish mine had been that clean when I bought it. Enjoy the ride!

Progress report - not much.. got the new chain, but alas, the tool I ordered off of flea bay that SAID it riveted 630 chain, did not rivet 630 chain, only 530.  Brother has worked on the carbs, but they have a ways to go yet. Headlight is on it, and it works! seat is off and stripped down to the pan, now I have a platform to start a new seat on.
