COMPLETE REBUILT 836cc MOTOR WORTH $ ?
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:17:29 PM »
I have access to a complete 836 motor that has been rebuilt by my best friend. New 836 kit, new bearings, valve springs
and a mild cam. I just found out today that he wants to part with it. He's been building these motors for 37 years !!
I'll find out more about it tomarrow. It's at his motorcycle shop. What's a motor like this going for these day's ?
OH yea he's good friends with MALCOM SMITH and the people at WEB CAM that's how long he's been around.

I saw the motor about 2 years ago. I can't remember if the side covers were chrome or not and if it also has a new
barnett clutch setup. One thing i can tell you all is he is the most meticulas person i know. I worked for him years ago
and he about drove me nuts !! He's the one i got the hilborn injection setup from. OH that motor might have a fully
ported head on it also, i do all of his port work. Like i said though it's been a few years since that motor was put together. I'll post more info on it tomorrow!

I wish i could post some pictures of the engine. I really don't need it, but i thought is was really good deal. I plan on
building another large displacement engine 1030cc or 1200cc. I'M looking for another mag drive setup and a big block.
maybe i'll find someone to trade with for the 836 motor.  ;D

Yea i know. I like my A.R.D. cdi mag on my turbobike. My next bike is gonna be a larger displacement and i'm either
going to supercharge it or use the hilborn injection setup with a joe hunt mag. I'm looking for a angle drive setup
like rc engineering used to make. I just want to build it old school drag style.   ;D
