Mark, increase the value of the engine, fasten a plaque with engraved text on the upper case. "Rebuilt and restored by Mark Paris aka Hondaman" or something similar.

You're not the first one to recommend that(!). I don't think I am quite that important?

The guy that built my VW engine does that.  When you go to shows around Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and other places, you will see the little plaque sitting right under the generator stand.   And when you see them for sale, it never hurts to have that plaque.  You know it's a good engine if it's "Doug built".

I imagine the same would hold true for "Mark built" engines. If someone has to sell a bike later, that would be a stamp of quality.

The bike on the cover of my book went thru something like that. The guy who bought it from me, when he saw it almost finished, smiled and left: the next day he came with $500 more than I was asking for it, and told me to keep it, it was worth it to him. I was just trying to recover my costs, so I could publish the book(!). You meet the nicest people on Hondas...  :) :)
