Bimota HB1 Oil Tank.
« on: July 19, 2017, 06:28:47 PM »
Hello All,

Looking at side views of the HB1, it looks like the oil tank has a sump that extends from under the filter to as far back as the oil pan. Did it tie in? Extended pickup on the pump?

Alas, I can find no pics of just the tank or any plans. I plan to make one out of sheet aluminum, and am trying to find out all I can about it.

Can anyone enlighten me please?

Thanks!

In pics I have seen it simply appears to be a standard oil tank just relocated and different shape. Also they were cast aluminum so a sheet metal version won't really be a replica so you might as well take some creative freedom and do what you want.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.
