First off I don't know whether to apologize or congratulate myself, its a CB750K8, "ye-sir" the 1978 model. Looks like from recent posts Santa must be giving these away this year. I also see everyone seems to be in agreement this is the best of the best
or last of the first - Did I get that right?
Anyway its my first SOHC Four. Many bikes, mainly twins in my past, latest was a 1974 CB450, with less than 2600 original miles on it. Sold it in October, when a guy just had to have it since it was same model as his first bike.
This 750 is in decent shape, needs the standard, carb and front caliper work after sitting for a year or so. Good news is: it came with new tire (Rear) front is good as well and a new battery and there is next to no rust in tank. Bad news: No side covers, right fork seal leaking. While I prefer to return these old classics to stock type shape, but it has a four into one exhaust and is begging for a cafe racer look. Decisions - Decisions.
My thanks to all you guys that have posted the technical articals and help us wrenchers when in a bind.
