The tank decal is in the wrong spot and incorrect angle.  My painter put it on to match the lower line of the tank rather than the top of the tank line.  I wanted the green vertical stripe on the on the tail to be a couple shades off the green on the fairings, matches a red, white and green panel on the front faring.

Yes, I was going to go black and number plates but decided I really wanted the traditional tricolor.
So..what's screwed up..?  The little band of green on the tail section just under the seat is a bit unusual, but other then that...  I thought you were going black with white stripes and number plates, Tige.  The tri-color is definitely traditional, though.

Thanks Don.  Can't wait to get the tank back with the correct decal placement so I can wrap this thing up.  Bummer is the weather here will more than likely be crap by the time it is done.

WOW! This would definitely qualify for OTHER BOTM. That Tricolore paint is beautiful!

My buddy Ian commutes from Ellensburg to Downtown Seattle.  It's getting into the 30s with snow on the ground over the passes.  Brrrrrrr!

Tank is back from paint fixed.  Waiting on the correct fuel line wye (Y) and inline jet for the return line then I can wrap up this build and start shake down rides.

She is pretty much complete. Still needs to be detailed and taken on some shake down runs.
These are the best pictures I can get because of the bad weather we have here.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my build thread.

Stev-o, if only the weather would cooperate!  It is killing me having this thing completed only to sit and await shake down rides.

I decided the lower faring needed a bit more to make it look period correct so I added the large decal like they did back in the 90's/  Thoughts?

I'm not real sure about the fairing decal . It looks unnecessary to me sitting below the tank one.
Maybe  a "750" and or one those yellow triangle type ones. Thats just my opinion. Regardless its a stunning bike.

^^ I hear you about looking unnecessary under the tank.  That is what I was looking to hear in a strange way.  My thought is this is supposed to be a 90’s style build with some modern bits and most things in the 90’s were Not necessary, ha ha.   I think the daring decal will stay for now.  Nice thing is I didn’t clear over the faring decal on purpose to give me the option.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

The extra decal is too repetitive. I love the Italian color scheme, reminds me of a bicycle i coated a few years ago. It's hanging in a pizza place in Atl. somewhere.
Maybe a 750 Sport decal made that fits the scheme on the fairing.

I’m not sure I care for the decal either. I would like to see a picture of the whole bike outside to make a final decision. It doesn’t look bad or ruin the bike that’s for sure.

Yeah..I need a "step back and look at it" shot.  It's a nice decal, and if it's at exactly the same angle as the one on the tank, it might look pretty cool, but if it's not..I'd take it off.  That of course is being extra, extra picky on a fantastic looking bike.  Sitting there staring at it in your shop is driving you to this, ya know, Tige.  LOL!
