Another small update.  Headers have been ceramic coated and the body has been dropped off at paint.

Awesome tweakin!  Just found this.  With the blue protective tape on the frame its shades of the Britten!  Can't wait to see the finished product! As others have said, you've got a great eye and I have confidence this thing will turn out stellar.

Italian brand, known more for use with European brands.  They do some race systems for bikes -- including use with Moto3 GP bikes and World Superbike.

Really impressed with the quality and delivery of the product. Made to order and personalized, mine came individually bagged in black fabric bags and ID takes with my name on them, nice touch. Won’t know about the durability or performance until the bike is complete and I put some miles on them.

No kidding. I was foolishly toying with the idea of buying a 900ss.

I have had so much fun building this bike there will be another Ducati build in the future.  I also picked up a new 1200R,
it is with out a doubt the funnest bike I have been on.

I was soooo close, too.  I think if I get a Duc, it will be EFI.  Maybe a Monster.  I had a line on a low-mile Scrambler Full Throttle but the guy got cold feet.

I want one I can expose the trellis, maybe do some suspension and tuning upgrades.  I love that 1200 but I want something a little bit lighter.

That said, I cannot wait to hear the new twin-pulse V4 run in anger.

The v4 will be pretty amazing and sounds great but is really wide.  I had a scrambler for a little over a year and really enjoyed it for around town riding.  Traded it in on the new monster.  My monster isn’t as heavy as you would think.  Lighter than the 900ss and the triump 1200r with 160 hp.  Yes, I love the Trelis frame on the older Ducs and EFI would be nice.  I am currently working to dial in the dual Mikuni flat sides on my 750 build.

I am not surprised that many bikes are lighter than the Thruxton 1200R.  I am a little surprised that the Monster is lighter than the new 900SS.  Lately I am gravitating toward bikes with 115+ hp that are sub-400 lbs.  I like the forthcoming Duke 790, the Yamaha FZ09, MV Agusta Brutale 800.  The Monster 821 seems like it's on the cusp of that.

The Monster 797 has the same motor as the Scrambler but the Scrambler (Icon) is a few bucks cheaper. I'm not sure why.

Yes, the new super sport is a little lighter than the monster, thought you were talking about the older 900ss.  I was really close to picking up a New as, really nice bikes.

Great bike -- great power/weight, balance, nothing spared, and great design.  I have difficulty bringing myself to an MV due to the parts availability -- and try finding one at a good price.

My buddy Jay just got a steal -- 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800, no miles, clean title for $5K.  A dealership burned down and sold its inventory cheap.  He had to wait 2 1/2 weeks for a seat though!
125 hp, 60 ft/lbs and approx. 368 lbs dry. What a machine and what a deal.  I'd take THAT deal in a hot second.
