Not sure really, however you CAN use tubes inside a tubeless tire. I erad in a post once that it only lowers the speed rating of the tire by one. For example, lowering from a "H" rating (210 mph) to an "S" rating (180 mph). Not really a concern on these SOHC's. Not a lot of 210 mph CB's on the road!

Thanks for the reply. I read that last night when I ran a search on the subject.
The reason that I asked about the tube thing, is that if possible, I prefer to run them without tubes.
I had an incident happen to me fifteen years ago on my CB400F where the rear tire blew out on the freeway
at 70mph almost causing me to lose control. It was due to instant tube failure.
By the grace of God and a lot of luck, I was able to control it through the ensuing tank-slapper
while riding two-up with my pregnant wife on the back.
To this day, I avoid riding bikes with tube tires at speed, I much prefer tubeless rims/tires.
Gives me much more piece of mind, when a tubeless tire is punctured, the loss of air
seems much slower and controlled, giving warning without causing instant mayhem.
I suspect that a previous owner of these Lester rims was running tubeless due to the
type of air valve that is previously installed in the front rim. Cant run a tube simultaneously.
I posted this to see what the experts have to say on the subject.
