How 'bout a Suzi T500?  These are great bikes, this one is owned by a guy on the Suzi forum and will reduce the price to a forum member....

After checking out all of the alternatives I have circled back to the RD's. Actually, the RD400 in particular. I just think it would fit me better and really like the look.
If anyone knows a project for sale in decent shape I'd like to know about it.
Appreciate all the help and knowledge provided. Great forum!

I'm guessing Steve is not a very aggressive rider, I've ridden all the Kawasaki triples "back in the day", and they weren't called "Widow Makers" for nothing.

Well, your wrong there Terry, maybe you weren't as good a rider!

And I highly doubt you've ridden "all the Kawasaki Triples!"   You think the Baby S1 250cc was a widow maker?  HA!

HA! Looks like I touched a nerve there Steve, but when I see someone defending the early Kawasaki triples well known and well documented handling issues as BS, I have to assume that you haven't ridden yours hard enough to notice?  The little Kawasaki triples were as bad handling as their bigger siblings, just slower.

Yes I rode them all, my cousin had a Suzuki dealership in the 70's and 80's, and while I don't claim to be any where close to your obvious skill level, I'm still alive after 48 years of riding, so I consider myself competent. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You can do a bit to modernise a 400. This one has a monoshock and front end from a hyasung 250.

That's about the best thing you can do with a Hyosung Ken, throw the engine away and harvest the wheels and front end! Looks good. ;D

Yep thats right Terry. My mate who built this has done 3 or 4 of them .
After taking the front and the back off them he just about has to throw the rest away.
A slight variation in colour with crossover pipes.

Nice! I love those porcupine heads! I rode a Hyosung years ago, was a nice little things, but Jeff at Ace says the engines are junk. Not quite the Hyundai of motorcycles...... ;D

Pity the LC's didnt make it to your shore. 'They are coming quite collectable as steve said many two strokes are.
I've never come home after a ride without a smile on my face.
