Doesn't look like it would harm anything,  is this the motor for the upcoming reunion tour? ...Larry

Wrist pins turn, they are not dents well one prick punch mark, the rest are die grinder bites.
Finally  figured out the POstory. I knew motor was apart.
Smoked like crazy at first, then settled down a bit but slowly increased. At one point ate the cam.
I fixed that. But now I realize,  it must have been seized real bad. And on 2 and 3, they used a diegrinder to get the piston off the rod. It's the only thing I think that could have done that.
The guy originally offered it to me as parts, but it had reggie.  Now I know why, I think they gave up !
I will run it, simply don't care..anymore.. want to get to Colorado.

Damn him, building an upside down engine like that. How the heck are you going to fit it in the frame? And chain alignment is going to be a nightmare.

Should be okay for mild street use. Certainly would not want to race it with those rods!

I wonder where all the grinder debris went?  :o  ;)

Yup!

Frank, maybe you could smooth off the sharp edges, might help a little bit

I was thinking the same thing. Sharp edges are often the point of failure.

Damn the torpedo's! Full speed ahead! Seriously though, these old Hondas were overbuilt, so there is a little "wiggle room" built in. Just playing the devil's advocate!  ;)

I'm drag racing a low compression 836cc (flat tops) that regularly mostly sees 9200 to 9500 rpms with stock rods. So far so good!  8)

Bill  I never had HD studs neither does this.
My 836 that I ran on and off plus raced a lot had stock rods and cast piston  (think they were RC,s).

This one was not stuck while I had it, but I knew they were inside it, and they offered it as parts, and I suggested trying to run it, and I did 2 seasons.

Bill  I never had HD studs neither does this.
My 836 that I ran on and off plus raced a lot had stock rods and cast piston  (think they were RC,s).

This one was not stuck while I had it, but I knew they were inside it, and they offered it as parts, and I suggested trying to run it, and I did 2 seasons.
the pic kind of fooled me,I see now, hope it works out.bill
