75 CB550 W/ PAMCO ignition
« on: August 10, 2017, 03:02:02 PM »
My question is I have the stock coils and bike has run great for 5 years with the Pamco. New issue is the coil wires are starting to break down. can I use a 81 CB750 coil set ? they have the removable plug wires. They measure 3 ohms.

I think the issue with the 3ohm coils is the draw on the electrical system. On 550's there isn't much headroom for increased draw.
