OK, let's see if we can make a difference. Here's our scam du jour. A fully restored Z1 for $3,500.

I've contacted Craigslist and furnished all the postings I can find and reported the address to Google.  Now we need to flag the #$%* out of these postings so they get taken down.

Please click these links, (EDIT) SEARCH FOR "Z1B", find the ads, click 'prohibited' at the top to flag them, repeat.

Scam?!!  oh crap, I already wired the money!  The owner said he was vacationing in eastern Europe.  Seemed legit.  ::)

Alright bot army, CL is smarter than I am.

If I had to guess they are sniffing the referrer or lack thereof and discounting the flag when it comes from a link. We're having no effect!


If anyone is bored, maybe go to the various CLs and surf to the listing more or less manually, THEN flag it. Gotta be a way to sabotage this scumbag...

Searching for "Z1B" will find the listings.

Depending on originality, 12-15K. A 73 in excellent original shape, definitely 15K+

And in that perverse reality we all inhabit, if you were to restore one of these to this condition, including the purchase of the (1975) bike, it's about 15K and up.

Yeah, I can see why a scam like that would work then.

The target audience isn't someone who knows their bikes - it's someone like me who don't really have a good feeling for how much a "mint" bike would cost.

3500 is just high enough to make it seem legit - as long as you don't know the real market value.

A viking born in 82, that is pretty young Cal, but were you doing a viking born in 2000 it would be statutory...so, I guess one born in 82 is better than that 00.
