Rockin' the coveralls
« on: July 28, 2017, 04:29:00 PM »
Never been a coverall man myself - always preferred T-shirt and shorts.

Well - I'm tired of getting oil stains on my clothes, so I sprung for some coveralls finally.
I have to say I'm liking the idea now.  I chose tan, so I look like a Navy flight officer or something - but it's nice not having to worry about getting dirty, greasy.  I can use the woodshop without worrying about splinters, wood chips, sawdust, and tracking it all in the house later.

Just unzip, hang it up in the shop, ready for a night on the town! ;D

I do coveralls in the Winter, but in July-August when it's 100 degrees that's not gonna happen.  I have a few pairs of shorts and an entire dresser drawer full of old t-shirts that are reserved for garage duty.

I've been kicking around the idea of asking my GF if she could make me up a pair of retro coveralls based on the ones Fonzie wore on Happy Days. I might not get them very dirty, but they'd sure be nice when temps drop. And they'd be a great place to put my SOHC/4 patches.

I've seen a few, but none just like those.

Fun Fact: Winkler was scared #$%*less when they told him he had to ride a motorcycle, that's why they switched from a Harley to a smaller triumph.

I also heard that when he appeared on camera the sound of the bike was dubbed in and the crew just gave the bike a push.  Never started it.
