selling my CB500 K1
« on: August 16, 2017, 09:52:44 am »
I'm going to post in the 'for sale' thread and it's up on Kijiji, but wanted to also post here to alert any local Toronto-area members who may be interested:

Vintage beauty in great working condition. Restored from the frame up, minus the engine which didn’t need work. Not a true “survivor” but looks like one.

Some specific info:
-   actual mileage is unknown – replacement odometer reads 16K miles
-   carbs were cleaned and contain all original stock Kiehin brass
-   tank is solid with original (faded) paint, 2 minor dents in the black paint, hard to see
-   original sidecovers have some chips and cracks and are very brittle
-   pipes are the correct 4-4 HM323s but have some repaired pinholes underneath – not museum quality but with care they will last for years
-   other chrome is solid but showing its age in places
-   all rubber (gaiters, carb boots, manifold rubber, o-rings, etc) is new
-   tires and tubes are about 3 years old with about 1500km on them
-   front brake master cylinder kit installed. Dot 4 brake fluid
-   combination reg/rect unit installed
-   steering head roller bearings installed
-   the clutch shift rod that is a weak point on these bikes is intact on this one
-   engine has unknown mileage and history, but has 110-120 compression across all 4 cylinders and looks like it’s never been opened
-   new AGM battery this spring
-   new oil and filter this spring

I also have a box of spare new and used parts, and manuals.

Clean title in hand in my name. Sold as is, should need nothing to safety. $3950 firm, cash only, no trades.
