72 Honda 750 price
« on: August 19, 2017, 05:30:28 AM »
What do you think is a fair price for an all original, unrestored 72 750.
Brown, no dents or scratches in tank, no cracks in side covers, pipes are original and not rusted through, all hardware is there.
But, throttle is frozen so unable to start bike. this is not a pristine bike but spokes, paint and chrome under the dust and dirt look  good....
The bike has been sitting in a dealership for decades

Two grand? Does it have a title?  Engine kicks over?

Hard to determine value with no pics and limited info.

Vermont can help with a registration if they will give you a bill of sale. Carb slides are probably stuck which is easy to fix.

I bought a similarly described 72 CB500 a year ago in May for 800 bucks with a title. What does NADA say for a value at your zip code?

Engine kicks over, good title....I know no picks don't help, but just assume that the bike is clean and all intact

I've paid as little as 200 for junk ones and 1500 for a nice one,  Last 74 I sold for 2500 and it was a pretty nice scooter... not perfect, pipes had some rust and so on... but it was a nice bike

As for carb's being stuck... that's just not a biggie...these things do that.

Thanks, actually I was wrong , it is a 74.

So. How about a 70 750, it's in nice shape but missing the pipes.

It depends on how many of the parts are k0.  If it is a mismatch of years not too much.  What is your budget?  Are you looking for a project or a running bike?

The 750 is all ko, just has a 4 into 2 mega phone pipes, period correct but I would want stock....I'm not looking for exact pricing, just ballpark. This bike also is in good shape and runs, no beat up tank or covers.
