Ouch, ran into the back of a car that made a sudden stop and broke his leg. Not good. Hopefully he'll recover quickly without any problems.

His head and face went through back window.  Feared for head injuries,  but Kenny one tough old bird who's got a race bike to ride still! He may have some character scars! Get well soon, hope to see you in Valdosta.

As we all know from Sam's head injuries, they can be life changing even if you physically heal from the wounds.

Lets hope for a quick come back without pain. NOS or  HIPO parts for old men are not availabe on eBay!

Car drivers can be worse today than for 30-40 years ago. They have to check facebook while driving!
I had to brake really abrupt a month ago when the car driver in front of me decided very late by hard braking to stop for pedestrians that was waiting for crossing the road. I had just moved my head sideways for 2 sec when it happened. Dual front brakes helped to keep distance. std brake very close. City driving in low speed as 50kph

Yes, it was a female driver as I immediately thought.... Only thing to do is to keep distance or pass them quickly before they turning left..

It sounds like it is not as bad as was first thought. The hospital were expecting head and neck trauma but all is fine in that department.
Kenny has some facial damage and a broken leg but is back home and on crutches and can't wait to get back to the shop.
Ya can't keep a good man down. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery.

I spoke with Kenny last night (8/25) for about 20 minutes. He sounded OK and in good spirits. Sounds like the bike (a heavily modified Harley) is totaled. He fractured his Tibial plateau (the top of the shin bone) and I suspect his Patella (kneecap) too. Not good as the Tibial plateau is important for knee alignment and weight bearing. It's been a while since I took human anatomy/cadaver dissection but I do remember its important role in cruciate and meniscus alignment.
Anyway....he was thankful people were concerned about him and is anxious to get back to business.

That's a nasty injury.  I hope he's able to recover swiftly without too many complications.  Ken's a good guy.
