77 750 K with an 76 style gas tank and seat, who has done it?

I know I'll need to move the seat forward, this is the former F'nK. It had the F seat brackets welded on so that's getting cut off what's the best way to proceed with a seat to close up the gap at the gas tank?  I have early and 77 seat pans.
