And A "Libtard" Is What?
« on: September 03, 2017, 03:19:02 AM »
Please help me, my American brethren (I'm from Minnesota).
Is being a "libtard" a good or bad thing?
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

If you were called that, it's not a compliment or flattering to you. And I don't want to start a flame war here against myself. I get into enough trouble already and that word would explain a lot about why I don't do Book Face social media, etc.

It is a play on words.
Liberal + Retard = Libtard.
One is born with a condition that makes it difficult, if not impossible to have rational thought patterns.
The other refuses to have rational thoughts.
Not saying which is which, but I believe it is wrong to insult the poor humans that are born with the condition by this term.

The bad thing is when someone starts throwing around insults and bullying others for their beliefs since they can't make an intelligent argument for their own beliefs other than by insulting someone that has beliefs different than their own.  :(

It's all bull#$%* identity politics.
Ignore it.   Whoever identifies themselves by political party and projects portions of that identity onto others needs a #$%*ing hobby.

This is funny watching posters dancing right up to the line of "political discussion", kind like a bunch of fish nibbling at a piece of bait but none biting. ::) Even I am tempted to take a big swing at it, :-\ but alas I don't want to get banned. I'm sure that as soon as someone finally steps over the line and "explains" libtard from either side of the political spectrum, then this thread will either blow up or be closed in a heart beat.  :-X

I think the OP knew or has his own definition of libtard........you guys have been trolled on this one!  ;D

I've never heard the word before.
I did have an inkling from the context that it wasn't complimentary.

Another label. Any time I see labels I quit reading. If people can't make conversation without labeling people that's when I decide their diatribe is not worth reading as they only seek to stir up bull#$%* or attempt to forge mindsets to their limited views.

Of course this all came about when Doug posted in a Harley thread, "My thinking is that harley haters and harley apologists can eat #$%* from the same pile" which, apart from not making a great deal of sense, was just a wee bit inflammatory to some. Not me, I'm a "Harley Enthusiast", so obviously it wasn't directed at me. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
